This Wilton, CT homeowner’s children left the nest, but left all of their stuff behind! The client decluttered and cleaned up the spaces, and we designed them to keep and encourage the new tranquility of a mess-free space. Both rooms were given mostly-monochromatic looks, and furniture was kept to a minimum.

The beige room has a fireplace, so the client wanted to reclaim the space as somewhere she could go to chill in front of the fire. So we changed the bed out for a sofa bed and added two lightweight swivel chairs. They can swivel for conversation, or towards the fire, and are easily moved when the bed is pulled out.

The yellow room saw the bed get anchored by a new headboard and new floating nightstands. A minimalist-style bookcase and storage ottoman round out the space.
